Lisa hopes to train actors of the future thanks to her time at Warrington Collegiate

Acting student Lisa Adamson hopes to help train the next generation of students at Warrington Collegiate by returning to the college once she has completed her HNC and HND studies.

Lisa, who is currently in the final year of her Level 3 in Performing Arts (Acting) Extended Diploma, has been offered places at three universities but instead intends to continue her studies at the Winwick Road campus in September. She talked highly of her industry experience and quality training she has had at the college.

The former Penketh High School student had originally planned to go into primary school teaching but now hopes she will be able to use what she has learned during her time at the college to teach future actors.

She said: “I absolutely love it at Warrington Collegiate. I genuinely can’t explain how much I love this place – it’s my home away from home. The amount of support I have had over the last three years has been incredible and I’m so grateful. I can’t believe how many industry practitioners we get to work with us! We are really lucky.”

Lisa was very passionate about her future, adding: “The course has played a massive part in helping me to realise who I want to be as a person and what I want to do in the future.

“I’m going to go onto the HNC in Performing Arts and then hopefully the HND. My dream is to be able to come back as a teacher at Warrington Collegiate and teach Performing Arts and what I’ve learned here will be vital in making that dream come true.”
