 Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to recruit a full time Lecturer in Art and Design (Ceramics/ Applied Arts).

Suitable candidates will hold a degree or equivalent in Ceramics/ Applied Arts and will deliver all aspects of Ceramics/ Glass/ Applied Arts. Suitable candidates will demonstrate a deep understanding of hand building, mold making and casting, throwing, glazing, kiln formed glass and jewelry making. Suitable candidates will also be highly experienced in the programming/ use of a wide range of kilns including raku, gas and electric kilns, supported by a sound  knowledge and understanding of appropriate health and safety regulations.

The post will involve the maintenance of stock levels to support effective planning, delivery and assessment of teaching and learning in ceramics and applied arts. Suitable candidates will have experience of conducting learner interviews, offering appropriate advice and guidance and supporting open evening events.  Delivery will be predominantly to 19+ learners on a wide range of levels from level 1 up to level 5 and the post will be predominantly based at our Winsford campus. There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to teach at our Warrington campus as part of the teaching requirements as and when business needs permit. It is desirable that the applicant will have experience of teaching across multiple levels and have previous experience of course leadership in an FE setting.
