Teaching Facilities

Brickwork Workshop
Our spacious brickwork workshop contains the latest facilities and resources to allow our students to develop a wide range of practical skills and prepare for the workplace. Our close links with various prestigious employers means we are supplied with bricks and tools of the highest quality.
Students studying brickwork, along with other construction trades, will also benefit greatly from the Advanced Construction & Civil Engineering (ACCE) Centre and the Advanced Construction Training (ACT) project, offering top-of-the-range digital equipment such as robotic surveying equipment, 3D printers and augmented reality smart glasses.

Motor Vehicle Workshop
Our motor vehicle department is proud to offer a fully operational workshop containing tyre changing bays, vehicle ramps and diagnostic equipment.
Students will work on the vehicles of real clients, helping to diagnose and repair faults. Working in the motor vehicle workshop allows students to learn in a realistic work environment and prepare for employment within a real motor vehicle garage.

Novel Bite Cafe
The Novel Bite Café at Winsford Library is a fantastic facility where our Foundation Learning students can learn to produce and serve a range of hot and cold meals and snacks.
Working in this real-life café helps foundation learning students to develop their skills in customer service, teamwork and communication.

The Barton Theatre
Our new Advanced Creative & Digital Skills (ACDS) Centre is home to the Barton theatre, allowing our performing arts students to showcase their talents in a newly modernised 160-seat theatre with sprung floor.
The theatre even has its own box office, where real paying customers can buy tickets to see our outstanding shows! The department also features specialist dance and acting studios complete with sprung floors and floor-to-ceiling mirrors, offering the ideal space for our talented students to learn and rehearse.
