Throughout your course you will make several visits to engineering employers. This will give you a real insight into the different roles available and inspire you to work towards your future career.

The college regularly works with several major companies including Roberts Bakery, Jungheinrich, Vinci and APG Precision. We arrange plenty of workshops, demonstrations and guest talks from industry experts, to enhance your knowledge of ‘real world’ engineering. During your course you will complete interesting work placements – a great way to increase your practical experience and boost your career prospects. Previous students have worked with companies such as APG Precision, Dantom Electronics and Colas, and quite a few have made such a positive impression that they have been offered a job.

We are excited to announce the opening of our new Centres of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering at our Winsford and Warrington campuses.

These AMET Centres house state-of-the-art equipment to support the skills required for smarter manufacturing techniques. They will act as specialist hubs for manufacturing and engineering industries that utilise industrial digital technologies such as robotics, industrial control and digital intelligence. Serving the region as specialist centres for materials measurement, testing and analysis, our AMET facilities will boost the provision of digital and manufacturing skills training across Cheshire and Warrington.
